Faith Miriam LaRocque, born September 1, 2010 @8:09am. Faith was born at home with the help of Daddy and Nova Midwifery (Mollie & Meagan). Auntie Nora cut the cord and was there to pray and support us. It was a beautiful experience, one that God intended and poured out His perfect plan on us that day. Although Faith was not planned we can't imagine life without her. She is our gift from the Lord and He is forever FAITHful!

The girls had a combo party this year at Black Diamond Gymnastic Center. Everyone had a good time tumbling, jumping, swinging on ropes, jumping into foam pits and more! We, the parents loved how well everyone slept that night!

At 2 years Hannah loves Snow White, babies, singing, and following the lead of her older sister.

At 4 years Rachel is a great helper, loves engaging her sister and teaching her (currently how to count), enjoys her dress-up and role playing and will be starting preschool (3 days/week).

A trip to San Diego, Disneyland and a 1/2 Marathon too...why not!

For the past several months Steve and I trained for the Disney 1/2 marathon. What a great experience! We both ran the whole thing, lost weight and took the girls to Disneyland while we were there for a few days. FUN! Then on to San Diego to visit family. A great vacation! Of course our Rachel was Princess crazy and Hannah, although scared of most the rides was a trooper while naps were cut short...

yippee! Ms. Hannah Rose turned ONE and we had a "Hannah, Banana Split" birthday party. She had her first cupcake, opened her first presents and had a great time with friends and family.

Wow, has it really been three years already? Geesh, everyone said it would go by fast...it sure did. I love that Rachel says with full compassion and heart-felt words: "Mommy, I want to stay little forever!".....the only thing I can think to say is, me too Rachel, me too! For her birthday I took her to SuperFranks to play during the day (like a Chuck E. Cheese - but WAY better!). We let her pick the restaurant for dinner. She wanted Mac & Cheese at Chili's. So that's exactly what we did and where we went.

We had her birthday party "Little Mermaid" style....character decorations, pools to swim in, sand piles to dig in for treasures, sand art projects and the "real" Ariel showed up for face painting and photos. We had a great day with friends and family. Cousin Madison and her friend Molly spent the night and Uncle Bob and Aunt Margo came up for the weekend too.

Crawling & Curls!

Well, that didn't take long! Hannah is now crawling and has little curls behind her ears. Rachel is learning to keep her little toys in her room and away from "sissy". It has been fun to watch Hannah find the difference between the soft carpet and the hardwood floor. She loves crawling back and forth over the two surfaces....oh, the simple minds! She is also pulling herself up on the furniture. With all the crawling, life has certainly changed and been busy!

Rachel is enjoying the water, playing with her sister more and has such an imagination. The acting, singing and pretend play is all in high gear!

Hannah is starting to talk and wanting to move! She says, "uh-oh", "baby", "dada". She loves being on the floor and is very close to crawling. Rachel is loving the water activities and her tumble time class.

As we moved into our new home this month the girls have had so much fun! Helping Daddy lay the closet floor or work in the garage, the girls have been there to add smiles and fun to our projects. Rachel loves her dresses, her new room (with Tinker Bell painted by Aunt Ellie) and has been a big help unpacking. Hannah is discovering body parts, found her belly button this month, loves new food, is full of giggles and enjoys playing with her sister.

Busy Times!

Ohhhh life is busy with these two girls! Hannah is able to sit up with help now and as she works on cutting her first tooth everything goes in her mouth. She is happy and smiles all the time. She loves her big sister, their cuddle time together and is easily entertained by her. Rachel loves new places and has enjoyed learning at the Children's Museum and the Oakland Zoo this month. We are playing at lots of parks, going on nature walks and learning to ride a tricycle.

Hannah graduated to a new carseat this month...what a big girl! Rachel has been busy learning how to plant a garden. She is wearing her pj's because she had an accident in the garden earlier. :)

Oh, one of the hardest parts of being a parent is you can't keep your kids from growing. Okay, maybe it's not one of the hardest parts but it sure stinks! I just want to bottle them and make them stay little! Hannah is now 6 months old and has been introduced to cereal...food, so much fun to experiment with! Rachel got to be a big helper and give Hannah her first bite of rice cereal. Hannah quickly decided SHE wanted to hold the spoon....I can see where this is going! Using grunts, screatches and laughs Hannah is learning to get attention with her voice. Rachel is developing into a sweet little girl who loves wearing dresses and pig tails. The girls are really enjoying each other and I can see the life long "sisterly bond/love" developing.

Rachel and Daddy had a "date" at her "First 5" class. She had so much fun dressing up in hearts: her dress, pony tail holders that Aunt Judi made, necklace and giving Daddy her homemade Valentine. The had a pancake breakfast and made Valentine's for Mommy and Hannah. A day filled with LOVE and spent with her "Prince Eric" (the prince on Little Mermaid - aka: Daddy!) <3

At 5 months Hannah is belly laughing, chewing on everything, getting stronger and learning to play princesses with her sister. She is "singing" her sweet "coo's" and loves the mirror. She is sitting up better and loves to snuggle...she is not real crazy about tummy time but we are working on it and making it fun! She loves to eat and is very "healthy". We just love all her folds, and chunk. I'm just wondering when does it go from being cute to...not so cute. I'm thinking Hannah's = cute; mine, not so much! :) hmmmm?

A Quick Trip To San Diego!

We had a great time in San Diego and the weather was awesome! I got some fun excercise on the boardwalk roller blading with Aunt Judi while Rachel played in the waves and sand with Aunt Ellie.

Reading with Grandma...hmmm...chicken slippers and red lingerie! I'm thinking they are in costume! :)

Hannah was a trooper...such an easy baby and cuddled with anyone who would hold her.

Quick trip but always good to see family.

Chewing on fingers, teethers and anything these days Hannah is working on some teeth. However, she is still a happy baby who will turn take with you using her babbles and raspberries. She is very ticklish and has the best belly laugh that is contagious! Such a sweet snugly girl and sleeping 7pm to 7am...gotta love that!!!

We had such a blessed day with Nana & Papa spending the night/day with us. Lunch with our good friends/neighbors then home for a day of cooking dinner. The day was spent eating, eating and eating more and in between opening some gifts and playing with the kids. Rachel was in "Princess lala land" all day as she kept changing into her new costumes and playing with her new princess toys. She loved her big girl electric toothbrush - what a hit! Hannah slept, ate, listened to Christmas music and was held/loved by family members. A very blessed day!

Hannah played baby Jesus at church for the children's program. There were two services and she only let out one little cry...great job...what a pro! The funny part was Rachel didn't even know that it was her sister and on the way home she told me she was sad because Mary didn't let her hold baby Jesus! She was also looking out the car window into the fields saying that she couldn't see them going to Bethlehem...oh, these cute little two year old minds!

Well, I called it...Hannah has found her thumb and is learning to comfort herself with it. Today was the first day I saw her use it and fall asleep sucking her thumb. I think it's so much cuter than a pacifier but I also know I can take the pacifier away...can't cut the thumb off, can I?! :)

The girls loved dressing up all pretty and seeing Santa today. Hannah (3 months) will do anything and easily smiles all the time now. Rachel (2 years) loved twirling in her dress and telling Santa she would like Cinderella.

Thanksgiving and Disneyland

Disneyland was magical and Rachel loved meeting all the princesses. Being there just made all her books, all the stories she loves and acts out come to life. Hannah of course slept through most of it. The highlight with Hannah was when we were on the Peter Pan ride the blacklight in the ride made her pink eye medicine glow! Her eyes looked very freaky!

San Diego was great, always nice to have time with family. Rachel had fun with Grandma at Scripps Aquarium and Hannah met & cuddled with family members for the first time.

Filled with coos, gurggles and smiles our little "cuddle bunny" as I like to call her, is doing great. She is sleeping well and eating well - life is good. Hannah has good eye contact and loves to be held and snuggle. She laughs at her big sister and likes their time together.

Grandpa Bush & Gramma Rose Visit!

The week before Thanksgiving Grandpa and Gramma Rose came to visit. Hannah got to meet her family for the first time and Rachel loved all the attention! Going to the park, reading books, playing in the play room and rocking Hannah to sleep were all activities that kept everyone busy. My Dad was so sweet and even completed my "honey-do" list that had been sitting around for awhile!

Today we dedicated Hannah Rose to Jesus at Cornerstone Fellowship. Pastor Kenton led the dedication and Daddy read some scripture that was selected specifically for Hannah. We had lunch at our place afterwards with all of our good friends. What a very special and blessed day!

Sweet little Hannah and oh the sleepness nights, ugh! At two months she is smiling back at us and has started to find her voice (cooing and "talking" to us).

Rachel is busy with all the Disney princesses, I really can't keep up with who she is at any one given moment.

On Halloween we went to Cornerstone's "Candy Zone". Rachel was Sleeping Beauty and Hannah slept the whole time in her little pumpkin outfit. We had such fun jumping and sliding in all the jumpy houses. Didn't get much candy because Rachel just wanted to slide the whole time (fine with me, less to throw out in the morning!).

We went to the pumpkin patch and it was really cold! We enjoyed picking out pumpkins and taking a wagon ride. Rachel is very excited to be a princess for "Candy Zone" at church this year!

Adjusting in September

Well, we are home and adjusting to our new family and life. Rachel is such a good "helper"...she loves her sister and is even treating Mocha as her baby as well as nursing her baby doll "Hannah". Hannah Rose loves to be swaddled and sleep in our bed. We are being careful not to start any bad habits with her in our bed but it is so cute and convenient too.

August/Summer Fun

We've been staying busy and having fun this summer. Rachel got a pink jeep for her birthday and is learning to drive/steer correctly. We went peach pickin' and she loved eating peaches while I picked some to bring home for later. Dress up is still a favorite during play time as well as tea parties with our cat Mocha!

Rachel's 1st Camping Trip!

We went camping with four other families (12 kids total) for one night about 20 minutes away from home (in case we needed to get back home quickly). It was a GREAT trip! The kids had so much fun together and it was easier than we all expected. Playing in the dirt, having a 'smore for the first time, sleeping in a tent and playing in the Sacramento River...all first time experiences for Rachel and she loved every minute! Being 7 months pregnant was the hardest part of the trip but not so bad...we are going to try and go next month again.

For Rachel's 2nd birthday party we had a "Teddy Bear Picnic" Party. She was excited for a week before as she helped me prepare and plan the party. She enjoyed having her friends over, eating birthday "nummies" and opening her gifts. A big thank you to everyone that helped us pull off the day and was able to come help her celebrate!

Rachel loves talking about all the people in her life. We have name signs for them and she shows here that she understands my signs without me adding the spoken English. Sometimes she even tries to get away with calling her Daddy "Steve"...she doesn't get far with that one! :)

23 months old and having fun!

Rachel is now in a "big girl bed". She helped us decorate her room and pick out the new sheets for her new twin bed. She loves her new room and is sleeping like a little princess! She still enjoys dress up and keeps herself busy trying on different hats, necklaces, a variety of accessories and just recently started wearing the pretty purple "princess" shoes. Rachel's most recent role playing includes pretending she is someone else, giving her babies new names and in this last photo she "has a baby in her tummy and she is sick". She also informed me that I was the nurse. She is such an imagination and we love listening to her explain her thought process! Summer time is allowing us to get outside and play. Rachel enjoys our backyard, her pool and new sand/water table. Of course she has to bring all her babies out to sit at the patio table so they can "watch" her play.

Oh my funny little girl! Our days are filled with adventure...from shaking music toys at Austin's 2nd birthday party, to trying corn on the cob and olives on our fingers for the first time...it's all fun! Rachel loves to dress up and often wears "accessories" while doing certain tasks (eating corn/painting). She also loves getting her fingernails/toes painted and then wants to try it herself with her washable paints. So, sometimes she has pretty pink nails that Mommy painted...other days she has green, blue or a mixture from her paintbrush. Whatever the case she is having fun learning and exploring her world.

Baby #2 Ultrasound photos at 20 weeks

Yesterday we had a "level 2/3-D" ultrasound. This is routine at my doctor's office and very exciting for us as parents. These photos don't even start to express what we actually saw and how clear everything was. We got to watch our little one rub its face, suck its thumb, move about and kick those legs! Very active and amazing to watch it in real time. These photos show a profile, bottoms of both feet, a profile of sucking fingers and the right leg. Everything measured perfectly and looks good. We are half way through this pregnancy already...wow how the time flies with a toddler around to keep you busy. :)

21 months. Rachel was "helping" me do laundry. She decided to put her Daddy's boxers on. She wore these for at least 45 minutes...funny girl! Her diaper outfit was during a time that she had a fever and bad stomach flu...always ready to play dress up though! She is talking up a storm and able to communicate her likes, dislikes, wants and desires (I might add, "very strongly" too!) :)

Rachel was getting over the flu while Grandma was visiting but we had to get out of the house and hit Chuck E. Cheese's! This month has been filled with lots of painting (the paper and Rachel!) as well as trips to the parks...as you can see, we have a little dare devil on our hands!

Easter/March

Rachel is now 20 months old and is definatley a toddler. She has an opinion and is learning to express it very well! :) From side walk chalk, to wagon rides and a variety of parks we are busy exploring what this world has to offer. Rachel is becoming a little "parrot" as far as picking up on what others say...so be careful people!

Easter was spent with our neighbors and Rachel's good friend, Shea. They both felt so pretty in their Easter dresses & hats. The last few weekends we also attended a few Easter egg hunts that the community put on..so much fun but she's not sure about getting to close to the Easter Bunny...maybe next year.

20 months...Rachel is busy attending auctions, playing in the backyard and of course still dressing up. This purple shirt is actually for the little bear she is holding...she thinks she is SO funny. 18 months and having fun! Rachel loves dress up. She also loves Mocha (our cat) and playing with him. He was actually in the laundry basket first and then she joined him...he doesn't even bother to move, guess he likes the attention. They are good buddies!

December has included learning words such as "ho ho ho" and "baby Jesus". Rachel enjoyed seeing Santa but definitely from a distance! We went to a few Christmas parades and had fun watching the floats and trying to stay warm!

Well, we sure have been busy! This month was filled with a lot of dress up, imaginary play and yes...using the potty! :) In the potty picture I ran to get the camera, by the time I got back she didn't want to sit there anymore. I was so excited that she used the potty I had to capture the memory with a photo! Rachel is signing and talking so much these days. She enjoys coloring, reading books, playing with her babies and of course her play dates with her friends. She is such a social butterfly!

Wow! It seems like only a short time ago Rachel was so dependant on us. Fingerfoods, chasing after her, looking forward to her ONE nap a day and watching her learn to communicate are all subjects of our "oh, so busy" (but fun!) world these days! Rachel is now 15 months old and is using sign language as well as her verbal words to communicate. She recently learned how to say "no" (lucky me!). She is so expressive...I can only imagine how those teenage years will play out! :) Some of her favorite activities include: books, coloring, baby dolls, "little people" playgrounds with lots of kids and of course our cats!!

The photos from the last few months include: summer beach & pool days with friends, play time at home, The SF Zoo and the most current...the pumpkin patch!

Our baby girl is turning into a toddler! She is now one and developing into such a fun, sweet girl. She had a lot of fun with friends and family at her birthday party. Rachel enjoyed her first cake, opening gifts and playing with her friends. She is saying "hi" all the time and signing up a storm. She has about six signs and uses them frequently. Pulling up on chairs and coffee tables, playing with shoes, glassses and hats all seem to be favorites these days.

Oh what fun we are having these days! We have been traveling a lot for our business and Rachel is learning to be flexible with her schedule. Hotels, airplanes, motorhomes and even Disneyland....Rachel can sleep at any of them. She now says "hi" whenever a new person approaches. She absolutely loves people and the socail interaction. Lately, her favorite toys are boxes that she can put things in an take them out. She also loves the pool and swings. We are getting our workout trying to keep up with her as she is crawling all over the place...chasing the cats seem to be a great motivator~

This month has been great! Rachel not only has six teeth but has learned to crawl, get up on her knees and is beginning to pull herself up to a standing position....my baby is turning into a little girl! She is such a delight. We have moved on from mushy foods to chunks and mostly finger foods. She really enjoys feeding herself. Some of her favorite things this month have been swimming with Daddy, traveling to auctions in Palm Springs and catching up with some extended family. It seems whatever is going on Rachel is there with smile and a good attitude...we are bracing ourselves for the teenage years! :)

9 months already!

Boy how time flies! Rachel is now 9 months...gee, soon she will be leaving for college! This past month she has really found her voice (what a girl!). She loves meeting new people, having little babbling conversations with them, waving and looking at people in books. I think her favorite "toy" is the human face...she spots them in magazines, grocery store shelves, billboards and the news on TV...she just smiles and stares. I have had more conversations with strangers these days because she is going out of her way to get their attention. She also loves books, singing and has recently learned to stick out her tongue. She is currently working on four teeth coming in and has figured out how to get up on all fours....just hasn't figured out how to put one knee in front of the other to "go"; so, she rolls. She is trying new food all the time and still seems to love anything that we serve up. Here she is in her Easter best ~ our little girl is such a joy!

8 Months...

Wow...time is flying! Rachel is a very good sitter now and is working on learning to crawl. She scoots on her tummy (backwards a lot) and will pop her bottom up for a split second. She loves peek-a-boo, can clap as in "yeah" and is working on waving. She also just recently started blowing. I think she is practicing the "p" sound. It is so amazing to watch her develop and learn every little thing. We thank God for her and the blessing she has been in our life~

Rachel is such a people person these days and it was great to get down to San Diego so she could spend some time with her family. She had fun playing with her Grandpa and Uncle Todd spent some time learning to feed a baby...a first for both of them!

Firsts!

This seventh month has brought a lot of "firsts" Rachel's way. She loves sitting on Daddy's shoulders and we have found that it's much easier to put her there rather than load up the stroller for weekend trips out to the stores and such. Rachel is still working her way through the fruits and veggies. These mesh bags are great as she learns to feed herself.

Oh the joys! Rachel is now 7 months old and seems to be learning something new or having a new experience all the time. She has discovered a little bit more of her big bear as you can tell from the photo. Grabbing him, biting him and rolling around her big furry friend seems to bring lots of laughs her way!

Boy how time flies! I can't believe our little girl is 1/2 a year old already....everyday seems to hold a new development and discovery. She is sitting up pretty much by herself now and has been introduced to cereal. Food! She has really taken to it and is enjoying her meals. We are working on the sippy cup and should be crawling here shortly~

Oh this fifth month had so much activity! Rachel is learning to sit up and I think we are about to cut a tooth. She had her first airplane ride as we went to Las Vegas for business and I was blessed with a week of hanging out with Nora and her family. Of course baby's first Christmas was a such a wonderful time...she is our most precious gift this Season!

We went to San Diego for Thanksgiving...Grandma just "ate" Rachel up as much as possible.

She loves chewing on her toes these days :)

And our neighbors, Rick & Jen had Baby Shae on November 27th. We are SO excited to have a playmate right next door and can't believe how big Rachel looks next to Little Shae (6lbs. 9oz.).

Well, Miss. Little Rachel is getting that "flirty" little smile down! She smiles with her eyes and is very social. She loves meeting new people and is very curious of new faces. She is starting to use her voice much more too. Some of her favorite activities include singing, dancing with Mommy and playing in the mirror. One of her favorite songs with Daddy is the Pink Panther...a guaranteed smile :)

She is able to put a toy in her mouth, reach out (as seen in the photo to the right) to make music play or lights dance and of course is getting stronger during tummy time. She enjoys daily walks and is developing into a sweet little social butterfly with smiles for everyone we pass!

Yes, I know...I'm huge! I'm starting to lack energy and nap regularly. If I could get rid of two pregnancy symptoms it would be the bad heartburn and the rib pains. We are starting to see the Dr. every week now so we are nearing the end. I'm just about as ready as you can be.

Baby at 34 weeks!

Here's our BIG baby at 34 weeks. This is a profile image of the head. You can see the little nose sticking out. Such a miracle to see our baby move around and grow these past eight plus months! They have told us to expect a big baby. In this photo baby was 6 lbs. 3 oz (in the 73rd percentile). They are still throwing around the idea of a c-section...whatever, just praying for a healthy baby.

Well, the nursery is just about done and the nesting has definitely kicked in! I'm cleaning, organizing and getting ready for baby. It's been a lot of fun preparing and we are getting anxious so meet our little one! We have finished all our birth classes so supposedly we know what we are doing!

Oh....I feel so BIG these days! I'm all belly. It's hard to believe that I'm going to get even bigger. ..yikes! Baby is kicking and moving a lot, very active and seems to enjoy the classical music I play. We are getting the nursery ready and trying to go for lots of walks for some exercise. It's all so much fun!

Well, we are getting there! I'm feeling good just kind of ready to be done...I know, I know, it's early. I think I'm just getting excited to meet my child and get my figure back! Putting my shoes on is a chore these days. I mainly wear slip on shoes now.

Well, here we are just about half way through the pregnancy.
I'm wearing my Grandma Wernli's maternity night gown...I'm so glad the styles have changed from 60 + years ago!

The other two photos just show how I continue to grow. I'm also now feeling the baby...little butterflies in my tummy. Love to feel the flutters of this precious life growing inside me!

This is the profile of our baby! We also saw the spine, kidney, lungs, heart, arms, femur, feet...we pretty much saw it all~except for the genitals~that's a secret until delivery!

Well, I'm now 16 weeks along in the pregnancy. The baby is about the size of an avocado and has now developed finger nails/toe nails...I've developed a belly! There is no hiding it now!! I'm feeling great these days, hope it lasts! Tomorrow we have a doctor appointment to hear the heart beat and to have more tests done. I hope we get to see the little one too.

Well, it's been 12 weeks and I'm starting to get my energy back and the nausea is going away...

This was amazing! We saw the little heart beat, legs kick and arm move. The nurse practioner thought she saw two sacks...twins....yikes! After the doctor came in and looked we were told at this point it looks like one healthy, happy baby. Praise God! Just thankful that the baby is healthy and growing appropriately for this stage. These photos were taken at 9 weeks, 4 days. The baby is fully developed at this point, just needs to keep growing and getting bigger.

Well, it's been 8 weeks and my jeans don't fit anymore. The most comfortable thing to wear these days is sweat pants. I don't have much of a tummy yet but just feel bloated and thick.

Well, we just found out we are 3 weeks, 5 days pregnant! I made Steve take a picture of my tummy...of course there is nothing to see yet but I wanted to remember this day and the jeans I fit into! We are SOOO excited for this blessed gift!
